Besides Portraits...

Just wanted to write a quick note to let you all know that besides portraits I also can take pictures for your artwork (all you artists out there!) and real estate (when you are selling your house). I did one session of each today. They both worked out pretty well.

At the photo shoot for the artist, we played around a lot with lighting. That was probably the biggest obstacle we encountered. But we were successful in getting very nice shots!

When I take shots of your house for real estate, I use my wide angle lens. It captures more of the room, and makes it look bigger than a normal camera photo.

It is great to be multi-dimensional!

Uh, Oh...

Guess what DH (dear husband) did last night to the fish (the fish is named Dum-dum)?

DH was cleaning out the fish tank. The tank was filthy, so it took him awhile. He put the fish back in the clean tank with all of the proper things (dechlorinate drops, etc). I hear,"Whoa! Dum-dum is going crazy!" Two minutes later, DH announces he thinks Dum-dum is dead. I go over to look at the fish, and sure enough, he is floating upside down at the top of the water. It took him awhile to figure out what went wrong. I noticed condensation on the top of the tank. DH put in too hot of water for the fish! He boiled the fish!:( It actually upset DH, which kind of surprised him. You figure it was just a stupid fish. I guess it was the responsibility that went with it. It was his pet, KWIM?

Anyways, here are some pictures I took in December. These kids are my friend's niece and nephew.

A Beautiful "Fall" Day

A beautiful family, on a beautiful fall day!

This is by far one of my favorite shots. Stunning!

Their poor little gal had a fall. She and her brother were holding hands, running. The little boy fell, and took his sister with him. She had dirt all on her left side, and look at her hair! It almost completely flipped over her head! Poor thing!

She was great, and still gave me smiles!

I love this vintage wagon. He was so happy to get on a bike!

What a great family!

Happy Halloween!

I could not resist putting this beautiful picture of 3 of my nieces on my blog. They are dressed up as the 3 fairies on Sleeping Beauty. My amazing sister sews them costumes every year. She is so creative. They are always dressed up as a theme.
Happy Halloween!

I heart NICU babies!

I love NICU babies! They are so tough, and have to deal with so much so quickly.

This little cutie was so good for us! He was so content the whole session. He never acted irritated at his oxygen cannula or the various cords that go with it.

So sweet-so tiny!

Apples, anyone?

This family is such a cute family! We were fortunate to be able to have their session in a local farmers Apple Orchard. I love this picture below because all three kids are smiling!

I wish all pictures would turn out as well as this one did!

Here is their beautiful family!

Autumn in repose.
